Terms and Conditions – Homowo Festival & Business Summit
1. Applicability
These terms and conditions apply to all offers and registrations for, and participation in the Homowo Festival & Business Summit, organised by HRH Nii Ayi Bonte II, Gbese Mantse and Adonten of the Ga State, represented by De Regelaar in the Netherlands (hereinafter referred to as "the Organiser").
2. Registration and Payment
2.1 The event includes both free and paid components.
2.2 Participation in any part of the event is only possible after complete and accurate registration and, if applicable, timely payment.
2.3 Payment must be made within the timeframe specified by the Organiser. In the event of late payment, the Organiser reserves the right to cancel the registration.
2.4 Cancellations must be made in writing. Cancellation of paid components is free of charge until 5 August 2025. No refunds will be issued after this date.
3. Changes and Cancellations
3.1 The Organiser reserves the right to make changes to the program, venue, speakers, or other aspects of the event.
3.2 The Organiser is entitled to cancel the event or parts of it. In case of cancellation, any amount already paid will be refunded, unless the cancellation is due to force majeure.
3.3 The Organiser is not liable for any damages resulting from changes or cancellations.
4. Liability
4.1 Participation is entirely at the participant's own risk.
4.2 The Organiser is not liable for any direct or indirect damage of any kind related to or arising from participation in the event, except in cases of intent or gross negligence on the part of the Organiser.
4.3 The Organiser is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings.
5. Admission and Code of Conduct
5.1 Participants must always follow the instructions of the Organiser and the venue.
5.2 The Organiser reserves the right to deny access to or remove participants from the event in the case of undesirable behaviour, without any right to a refund.
6. Sponsorship and Partners
6.1 The event is supported by sponsors and partners.
6.2 Participant names and organisational details may be shared with sponsors and partners, with prior consent, for purposes such as badge printing and attendee lists.
6.3 Personal data will not be shared without explicit consent.
7. Transportation and Accommodation
7.1 The Organiser offers participants the option to book hotel accommodations and/or transportation through its platform.
7.2 The Organiser acts solely as an intermediary; the agreement for these services is entered into directly between the participant and the service provider (e.g., hotel or transport company).
7.3 The Organiser is not liable for shortcomings, changes, cancellations, or other issues from the service provider.
7.4 Payment for these services is handled through the Organiser.
7.5 Changes or cancellations are only possible in accordance with the terms of the relevant service provider. The participant is responsible for timely notification of any changes or cancellations.
Privacy Statement
1. Processing of Personal Data
1.1 The Organiser processes personal data of participants in accordance with applicable privacy legislation (including the GDPR).
1.2 Collected data includes, among others, name, email address, job title, and organisation, and is used solely for the execution and communication related to the event. With consent, this data may be shared with sponsors and partners.
2. Photos and Videos
2.1 Photos and videos may be taken during the event for reporting and promotional purposes.
2.2 Participation in the event implies consent for the use of such media, unless a written objection is submitted in advance via registration@homowobusinesssummit.nl.
3. Disclosure to Third Parties
3.1 Personal data will not be shared with third parties, except when necessary for event execution (e.g., badge printing, access control).
3.2 Data processing agreements have been concluded with these third parties.
3.3 An exception is the sharing of name, email address, job title, and organisation, which will only be done with the participant’s explicit consent.
4. Retention Period
4.1 Personal data will not be retained longer than strictly necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, up to a maximum of 12 months, unless legal obligations require otherwise.
5. Rights of Data Subjects
5.1 Participants have the right to access, correct, delete, and transfer their personal data.
5.2 Such requests can be submitted in writing to registration@homowobusinesssummit.nl.
