Homowo is a traditional harvest festival celebrated by the Ga people of Ghana, typically held in August. It features music, dance, and the iconic palm nut soup — which will be specially prepared during our event by chefs flown in from Ghana for an authentic culinary experience.

A festival naturally also involves music. Fortunately, in the Netherlands, we have many excellent Ghanaian musicians who will perform in traditional style especially for this event, complete with dance shows.

There will also be a special performance by violinist Joana Quaynor.

The Homowo Festival is free to attend and takes place in the beautiful Botanical Gardens of Utrecht.
